R&B singer Chris Brown and his long time
girlfriend Karrueche Tran have a very public
relationship. Public, not just because Chris is a
mega star but also because they have a
reputation for airing their relationship
business on social media for the world to see.
When the recent news hit that Chris is
allegedly the father to a 9-month-old baby by
an acquaintance of Karrueche and Chris, the
internet went crazy. The OWN Network is
giving Karrueche a chance to tell her side and
will premiere an interview with her and Iyanla
on March 28th.
But in the meantime Iyanla shared some of her
thoughts with Sister2Sister magazine about
their relationship. She said:
“The thing that was so surprising to me
is how protective and forgiving she is
of Chris. She repeatedly offered that he
is only human and humans make
mistakes. She said she knows he loves
her and she just wishes things could
change for him. I think I am a bit more
troubled by his behavior than she is.
I am disturbed that he has such a gift
and blessing and continues to dishonor
God, himself and women with no
accountability. Prison was punishment
and punitive. It did not teach
responsibility or accountability for his
behavior or as the steward of a gift.
Anyway, she made no attempt to bash
him and will probably come across as
naive and relatable”
